About Trinity Church Westminster
We are a new church being planted in Westminster with a simple conviction: that the same gospel which has sustained Christ's church for two thousand years is exactly what this city needs today.
Our vision
Westminster is one of the most remarkable square miles in the world: the seat of government, a centre of work and culture, and home to thousands of people. We long to see a church family here that loves this place and its people: gathering joyfully on Sundays around God's word, scattered through the week as salt and light in homes, offices and institutions.
What we believe
Trinity Church Westminster stands in the historic, Reformed, evangelical tradition. In brief, we believe:
- The Bible is God's word written: fully trustworthy, sufficient, and our final authority in all matters of faith and life.
- One God in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who created all things and made us to know him.
- Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, who lived a perfect life, died in the place of sinners, rose bodily from the dead, and will return as judge and king.
- Salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, not by anything we do, but by what he has done.
- The local church as God's gathered people, devoted to the apostles' teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayer.
Our full statement of faith and details of our church affiliations will be published here before launch.
Leadership
Trinity Church Westminster is led by Luke Cornelius (Pastor), together with a core team committed to praying, serving and building this church from the ground up.
Where we've come from
Trinity Church Westminster is a church plant. We are a group of people sent out from St Helen's Church, Bishopsgate to plant a new church in the heart of Westminster.
